The Secret to a Successful Portrait: Your Photo!
The magic begins with a quality photo. To ensure your pet's portrait is stunning, here are my expert tips for the perfect photo:
-
Quality First: Forget low-resolution phone photos. Opt for sharp images, taken with a good quality camera, to reveal every detail of their fur or feathers. Think of a photo large enough to be printed at A4 size without loss of quality.
-
At Eye Level: Get down to their level! Whether they are sitting or standing, taking the photo at eye level creates an ideal connection and perspective.
-
Natural Light: Favor the outdoors and soft, non-direct natural light (avoid full sun). Natural lighting reveals the true colors and textures of their coat, resulting in a faithful and vibrant rendering.
-
Close-up, Uncropped: Frame their head, neck, and chest. Make sure nothing is missing: no cropped ears, no part of the muzzle out of the frame. A close-up ensures you capture their expression and distinctive features.
-
Contrast and Clarity: A simple background that contrasts with the color of their fur will allow your pet to stand out beautifully. Avoid filters and blurry or overly dark photos.
Avoid: blurry photos, those with harsh flash, photos taken too far away, poorly framed shots (missing ears, etc.), or low-quality images.

Important: Specifications Regarding Photo Size and Resolution

To ensure the best quality for your pet's portrait, here are some recommendations for the photos you send me:
-
Ideal File Size: Each photo should ideally have a file size between 1 MB and 5 MB. This allows me to see all the necessary details without the files being too large for email.
-
Avoid Files that are Too Small: Very small photos (less than 500 KB) often lack essential details.
-
No Need for Giant Files: Photos larger than 10 MB are generally not necessary for reference and can be difficult to send or receive via email.
-
Accepted Formats: Please send your photos in JPEG (.jpg) or PNG (.png) format.
If you have any questions about the size of your photos, please do not hesitate to contact me!
